Nakuru Governor Kinuthia Mbugua has termed Nakuru residents as hard working people saying he is proud to be their leader.
Mbugua said he enjoys leading a county of hardworking and dedicated people like Nakuru.
The governor said such a culture makes his work easier.
Speaking Sunday in Rongai town, Mbugua said Nakuru has attained its growth due to the hard work of its people.
“If there is one county in Kenya with hard working people, then that county is Nakuru, and and I'm very proud to be the governor because it makes my work easier,” said Mbugua.
“If we keep up with that spirit, then I can assure you that very soon we are going to attain the same status like Mombasa and Kisumu,” he added.
He added that his government is always willing to work with and support persons that are doing something positive to build the county.
He called on Nakuru residents to stop relying on government help all the time but instead find means of engaging in productive work.
