Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has promised residents of Bahati of their safety during the festive season.

This comes following Sunday’s shocking incident at Bahati Trading Center that saw area businessman shot dead by thugs who allegedly escaped on a motorbike after committing the offense.

Speaking to the media during his tour to the area on Monday, Ngunjiri affirmed that the police are pursuing the suspects and strict security measures have been put to fix insecurity.

"This is a serious incidence that we strongly condemn. Security officers have already started their pursuit of the suspects who will be identified soon. We have also deployed enough police officers to conduct patrols," Ngunjiri said.

The Bahati legislature also called on the public and motorists to be alert and report any incident they suspect.

‘The only way to curb insecurity is by cooperating with the security by reporting such incidences on time as well as suspicious images around. This is not the time to fear because we need to work together to fight crime,’ Ngunjiri added.
