Bahati MP Kimani Ngunjiri has defended his development record saying it is a result of his hardwork and not necessarily because he was elected on The National Alliance ticket.

Ngunjiri said he has managed to develop Bahati constituency due to his aggressiveness and good public relations skills whenever he visits government ministries.

“Some people from the opposition say their constituencies have been sidelined by the government in development but this is wrong since development in a constituency is purely attained by focus and aggressiveness of the respective MP,” he said on Wednesday during an interview with Radio Citizen.

He explained that aggressive MPs from the opposition have managed to take home the development which their people need.

“This is a game for those who are focused and those who know how to factor in their time well. Personally, I have a very tight schedule as I am a frequent visitor of government ministries and I have outstanding PR skills which has enabled Bahati to get everything that they have asked for,” said Ngunjiri.

Residents of Bahati had earlier given a vote of confidence in Ngunjiri’s leadership, stating that he has so far implemented 70 per cent of his campaign manifesto.
