Kiambu constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Jude Njomo has urged boda boda operators in the area to apply for loans so that they can be able to expand and grow their businesses.

Addressing Kanunga boda boda operators in Kiambu after handing them a shed constructed by the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) on Sunday, Njomo said that the operators can easily expand their business through loans.

The Kiambu MP stated that the government is giving out development funds which he urged the operators to apply for. 

“My advise  is to you is to consider taking loans and also applying for the development funds that the government is giving out to enable you to expand your businesses," he told the boda boda operators.

Njomo said that most boda boda riders are young people who are qualified for Uwezo and Biashara Funds.

He said that the constituency will be able to register development if young people take advantage of the development funds.

The MP vowed to promote the boda boda industry saying that it has employed many youths who will have been jobless.

The Kiambu constituency legislator also urged boda boda operators to form and join Saccos. He said that Saccos will ensure that they are able to save part of their profits.

At the same time, the MP urged the Kiambu government to spearhead programmess that will create employment for the youths.
