Nyamira County governor John Nyagarama has urged ward and sub county administrators in Nyamira to join chiefs to fight insecurity.
According to Nyagarama, if local administrators join chiefs cases of insecurity will reduce.
Speaking on Monday at Sironga Girls High School during the a meeting of chiefs, sub chiefs and police officers, Nyagarama challenged administrators who work under the county government to cooperate with chiefs to fight insecurity in Nyamira County.
“My government has already hired ward and sub county administrators to work with us, let us all join hands to ensure security in our county,” he said.
He also challenged chiefs not to use force in their operations but work within their mandate in tightening security.
Nyamira County Commissioner Josephine Onunga enchoed the governor's call, stressing that chiefs should conduct their affairs positively to fight insecurity in the county by working with ward and sub county administrators.
