The Nyando Constituency Development Fund (CDF) administrator accused of killing a security officer at Jesmic Hotel in Ahero town during Christmas has surrendered to police.
Ken Ooko surrendered himself to Ahero police station after his photo went viral on Tuesday according to assistant Inspector General of police Joseph Keitany.
Keitany said that the gun used during the incident has been confiscated by police as investigations continue.
The suspect is accused of shooting dead the deceased after they differed over hotel bills.
Nyando OCPD Elias Gitonga said the suspect had been held by the security officer from leaving the restaurant as he had unpaid bills.
"The two had a disagreement over the unsettled bill. In the process the suspect drew his weapon and shot the gatekeeper dead," Gitonga said.
Reports indicate that the disagreement was caused by a bill of Sh 1500 which was demanded from the suspect.
