Sengera Bosoti MCA Timothy Nyarang’o has urged Kisii Governor James Ongwae to officially open the Mochorwa dispensary.
The MCA says the facility needs to be equipped with modern equipment and adequate drugs to ensure it can effectively serve Sengera residents offering quality health services.
According to the MCA, the dispensary has not been operational for a long time and needs to be opened so that area residents benefit from quality health services from the centre.
Speaking to this writer on Tuesday the MCA said that area residents struggle and travel for long distances in search of health services.
He says this should come to an end by reopening up the facility which closed down due to a myriad of challenges.
“I appeal to our governor Ongwae to initiate the process of reopening Mochorwa dispensary so that area residents can access health services more easily,” he said.
On Mashujaa Day, Governor Ongwae promised to invest more in the Health sector, a promise that many Kisii residents are keen to see fulfilled.
