Panic hit residents of London slums in Nakuru on Friday after school going children stumbled on a dead baby stuffed in a polythene bag.

The baby, suspected to be a day old, was discovered at Gioto dump site. Residents suspect that it might have been dumped at night. "We suspect this to be from young girls in the slums who engage in prostitution but cant bare the responsibility of taking care of children," offered Annet Atieno, a resident.

The residents called on young girls to prioritise safe sex or desist from premature sexual activities to avoid such scenes.

"It’s sad that we continue losing innocent souls in such inhuman ways because of our irresponsible youths. Our schools must be taught sexual education to help deal with this," noted Mark Khatenje, a human rights activist in the area.

The residents called on the county government to do away with the dump site from the area.

The body was taken to the mortury by officers from the nearby AP post.
