A primary school in Athi River has continued to receive praises over its exemplary performance in the last year’s KCPE examinations.
Residents from Athi River sub county including parents with children learning at Athi River Primary School in Machakos County have lauded the school for registering good results in the examinations.
Speaking to this writer separately in Athi River town on Sunday, the residents said it was not the first time the school emerged the top among the public schools in the region.
“We are residents of this sub county are very happy with Athi River Primary School’s performance in the last year’s KCPE examinations,” said Joseph Kioi.
Mr Kioi said the school motivates parents from the region to keep their children in public schools as opposed to private ones.
Judith Ondieki said her daughter who sat the examinations in the school last year scored 402 marks and was destined to a good secondary school.
Ondieki who was adamant to disclose the school where her daughter had been admitted said she was very satisfied with the teachers’ work at the school.
Samson Ndinda on his part said the school’s management was cooperative with all the school’s stakeholders, a situation he said had created conducive learning environment in the school.
The three attributed the good performance to teachers who they said had got passion in their job hence executed their responsibilities with great dedication.
They called on teachers from other public schools within the sub county to visit the school for bench marking in a bid to improve performances in schools in which they teach.
