Parents with students who have children with hearing challenges will receive free sign language lessons from the Ngala School for the Deaf in Nakuru County.
Principal John Gachiga said they will offer the free classes to enable the parents communicate easily with their children.
Speaking in his office, Gachiga said most parents who have deaf children find it difficult to effectively communicate with their children because they lack basic sign language knowledge.
He said they will organise seminars where parents will be trained and equipped with sign language skills.
"Most parents find if difficult to communicate with children who are hearing impaired because they don't have sign language skills ,"he said.
"We will organise free sign language classes for all parents who have deaf children with the aim of enhancing their sign language communication skills,"he added.
