Police in Machakos town with the help of Mumbuni chief Mathew Mulee have been hunting for a man who allegedly lynched his parents in Mawinzeni area, Mung'ala sub location in Mumbuni location. 

According to Mulee the man allegedly committed the crime on February 28, 2016 in the morning after which he escaped.

"I got a call from one of the Mumbuni residents that a certain man had thoroughly beaten his parents and ran away in the morning where I called Machakos level five hospital for an ambulance which rushed them to the hospital," said Mulee.

According to the neighbours, the man is said to have been having family problems with his parents which might have led to the assault. 

The man is also said to have been under influence of drugs. 

Mulee urged young people to avoid abusing drugs and involve themselves in constructive activities. 

The Machakos police are seriously hunting the man who will soon be arrested and heavy law taken on him.
