Police in Kangundo are searching for one man who attacked a journalist after doing a story about him in Tala area Matungulu sub-county.
The suspect who is a headteacher in Nguluni primary school in Nguluni attacked the reporter in Tala market where he beat him up leaving him with injuries.
Speaking to the press the journalist who is a Daily Nation reporter said that the headteacher identified as Harrison Munyao allegedly attacked him and tore his clothes after seeing the news on the newspapers.
He said that he reported the case to Tala police station before seeking medication at Kangundo level four hospital.
On Monday, parents stormed the school claiming that since the headteacher came to the school it has gone down in terms of education as it has been recording low results in KCSE and so demanded he be transferred to another school.
The headteacher was forced to hide in his office to escape the wrath of the parents who swore not to take their children back to the school until he is transferred.
The reporter is recuperating in Kangundo level four hospital as police unturn every stone to nab the suspect.
