Police in Nakuru have launched investigations into the death of a 19-year-old whose body was discovered in a farm on the outskirts of Nakuru town over the weekend.
County deputy OCPD Janet Wasike on Tuesday said they were following up on crucial leads that could help them unravel the mystery surrounding the teenager's death.
The police boss added that they would also liaise with pathologists at the Nakuru County Hospital mortuary where the body is lying to help them follow up on the matter.
The teenager went missing from their Pyrethrum Estate last week Wednesday after she left to go and get her hair done at a nearby salon but never returned home until her body was discovered by officers on patrol in a farm adjacent to Nakuru GK Prison.
Wasike who confirmed the incident also added that the body had head injuries and that she could have been killed elsewhere before being dumped on the farm.
