Police hunting of four terror suspects who escaped King'orani raid in Majengo is yielding fruits after one of the terror suspects surrendered to police yesterday.

According to Mombasa County Commissioner Nelson Marwa, the suspect Mohamud Said Mohamed surrendered to Malindi CID after an intervention of the father who saw the photo of his son circulating on social media.

Mombasa security officials have a reason to believe that the suspects were assembling Improvised Explosive Devices to use in an attack  on security agents at an unknown location.

"Our aim was to arrest and not to kill them so that they can be interrogated. They, however, slipped out of the house before the operation began,  but we are in pursuit," said Mombasa County Commander Francis Wanjohi in an interview yesterday.
