The Independent Electoral and boundaries commission has expressed hopes of registering more voters in Nakuru towards the tail end of the exercise.
The commission's Central Rift coordinator David Towett Wednesday revealed that much as the exercise had been riddled by the low turnout in various registration centres a cross the region they were sure of bagging more votes as the exercise draws to an end.
In an interview with, Mr Towett claimed that Kenyans are people who like taking their time and would likely show up for the exercise at the eleventh hour. He also said the exercise has been a success save for the poor turnout.
He, however, urged residents to take advantage of the remaining 13 days to ensure they register so as to avoid the last minute rush. Central rift region incorporates Nakuru, Baringo, Nyandarua and Samburu counties.
