Nakuru woman representative Mary Mbugua has urged Christians to pray for the country.
Speaking in Nakuru on Wednesday when she joined faithfuls to mark the beginning of Lent season, Mbugua said such a time calls for divine intervention and called upon Christians to pray for the nation's security and stability.
She also called for prayers to the needy and the underprivileged in society.
The lent season is a season of prayers, fasting, repentance and conducting charity work and culminates in the Easter celebrations after 40 days.
