Nakuru County will soon benefit from a milk processing plant after a businessman set aside more than Sh2 billion to facilitate the project.

Speaking in Naivasha on Wednesday after holding consultative talks with governor Kinuthia Mbugua, the proprietor of the Sameer Group noted that things were in the pipeline for the commencement of the project. 

"We greatly appreciate the governor's development efforts and more so allowing our company to do business with Nakuru County under his administration," he said. 

The governor expressed satisfaction in the project saying that other than creating employment opportunities, it will open up the county as an ideal investment destination. 

"I thank the company for having trust in us and believing in our capabilities. It is going to be a real game changer in terms of harnessing both investment and development opportunities," he said.  

The Sameer Group is an international brand that specialises in manufacturing and construction, among other things.
