Private schools investors in Kisii County have been challenged to hire trained and qualified teachers to ensure learners in the schools acquire quality education through professional teaching.
Vincent Bosire, a director at Bosire Academy in Kisii town has tipped private school owners and investors on the importance of giving quality education to learners to ensure they excel in national examinations.
Speaking on Friday at Mwamba Mixed Primary Academy in the outskirts of Kisii town during the school's pre-unit pupils' graduation ceremony, Bosire regretted that some private school owners strive to maximise profits from their schools to the detriment of their learners.
"I am reminding fellow investors and owners of private schools in this county to ensure they hire trained and qualified teachers to ensure children handled by the teachers meet professional standards of education and assure both the learners and parents of quality results," he said.
Bosire argued that having sub-standard teaching in private schools will compromise the quality of education given to learners and yet private schools are investments meant to offer quality education to beneficiaries.
