The former Prime Minister Raila Odinga has challenged the county government of Kisii to use the ongoing entrepreneurship summit to improve sectors which will boost its economy.
Raila added that the county has the potential of producing many products among others from the area.
“This county has got the potential of producing many products and this can be achieved only when we can realise our ability as a government,” said Raila.
He challenged the county government to have in place measures of having a soapstone factory.
“The presence of the factory can help us in terms of employment since it will create opportunities for our youths so let us have measures in place of establishing this factory,” added Raila.
He further said that the county needs to reduce poverty among the residents by strengthening their focus to the farmers.
