Residents of Olympic Estate in Kibera are a happy lot after waking up to road repairs around the area.
The exercise which kicked off on Friday was started by removing excess soil on the roads.
One of the residents, Moses Ikua, praised the area MP, Ken Okoth for this development.
''I am happy because our roads will look good. This helps improve the image of Kibera,'' he said.
A vegetable seller in the area, Miriam Anyango, said the roads repair will help her a lot since no dust will go onto them and dirty them.
Another resident, Doreen Mulati, said the repairs will help both drivers and pedestrians because roads are useful to all people in society. She, however, thanked the sponsor of the repair exercise saying he has done a wonderful job for the Olympic people and asked them to repair other roads within Kibera.
