Residents of Kangundo sub-county have come out to complain about the low services provided at the Kangundo level 4 hospital.
Patients visiting the government hospital are being increasingly apprehensive over deplorable facilities of the Kangundo hospital.
Speaking to Seth Muasya a resident of Kakuyuni location and a frequent visitor of Kangundo hospital as she is a diabetic patient, she complained of the poor and slow services.
"If you just go in the wards, some patients will tell you they spent the night without blankets because the nurses say the blankets are being cleaned at Kathiani hospital," said Seth Ben Mutuku.
Another patient who was waiting in the line on Tuesday at 7:30 pm stated he had waited for hours and hadn't been attended to.
"I have been here since 4pm and the doctor I was allocated to is said to have gone out for supper. Tell me what time it is now and even children are queuing crying helplessly," said Mutuku.
According to speculations from the public, the hospital has been in a deplorable condition which has even seen 5 watchmen resign after months of unpaid salary.
However speaking to a doctor who asked her name to remain unmentioned, she stated the are no enough facilities such as machines and medicines to be issued to patients which has caused laxity and confusion in the hospital.
The residents are therefore calling upon the County government to intervene so that patients get the needed help.
