Youths from Mwakiage and Mwamogesa village in Kitutu central ward have threatened to collect signatures to impeach area MCA Pius Abuki over failure to repair roads.
Led by their chairman Patrick Machoka, they said that they will use the formula as provided for by the constitution in order to push him out saying the MCA has sidelined the area in project developments.
According to them, the MCA has never visited the area to find out the status of roads despite saying that he has constructed some of the roads.
“Since we elected him he has never come to this place for him to know the challenges that we experience over impassible roads. That is why we have come up to mobilise other youths to collect signatures so that we can push him out of office and have someone who can consider us,” claimed Machoka.
They also challenged the county government to ensure there is regional balance in the distribution of funds for road construction.
“We urge our county government with the able leadership of Governor James Ongwae to deliver through county MCAs rather than giving false information of development and yet no development has seen on the ground,” said Walter Nyakundi.
