Few days after calling on people to choose leaders based on their ideas and not tribe, Deputy President William Ruto seems to have lost his temper.
This comes after he lashed out at Baringo senator, Gideon Moi, accusing him of not being circumcised.
Ruto seems to have not recovered from the shock of Jubilee losing in the Nyangores by elections, where he believed Jubilee would have won since the area is Jubilee’s stronghold.
Ruto lashed out at Gideon Moi saying Kalenjins supported his father’s dream of becoming the president so he should not brag about it.
‘‘Kalenjins stood by Arap Moi shoulder-to-shoulder until he became president so this uncircumcised son of his should not bring us his stupidity by telling us that we cannot support other Kalenjin leaders from other families,’’ said Ruto.
He spoke this in his vernacular language at Belgut. He also accused the Bomet governor, Isaac Rutto of dividing Kalenjins. He, however, said Kalenjins will not be divided on the basis of North Rift and South Rift.
