Lugari MP Ayub Savula has called for the termination of Deputy President William Ruto and Joshua Sang cases at the ICC.

Speaking in Nakuru Tuesday, Savula remained optimistic that the case will end successful where Ruto and Sang will be freed.

Savula said the country has moved on and people are coexisting peacefully.

“I am hopeful that the Deputy President's case will be closed in due time to allow him come and work for Kenyans,” he said.

The lawmaker has also called upon the government to conduct a national IDPs resettlement and close that chapter.

He decried that it was a shame for a section of IDPs to demonstrate while the DP was in the Hague.

He accused MPs supporting the DP of conducting political prayers that have now fizzled out. “President Uhuru Kenyatta should start a national healing and reconciliation process and resettle all IDPs to end the debate,” he said.

Meanwhile, Savula has adopted an infant that was rescued from a pit latrine after it was dumped there by a student.

He pleaded for leniency to the girl, urging the Director of Public Prosecution not to charge her.

“I have adopted the infant and named her Ayub Savula junior and will cater for the needs as I support the mother to recover and continue with her education,” he said.

The legislator who vowed to start a campaign on sensitising young girls against engaging in premarital sex, warned rogue parents who are taking advantage of the school girls. “The lady is innocent but misguided by rogue grownups who are taking advantage of vulnerable girls,” he said.
