School drop outs in Kibera have been advised to enroll in vocational institutions to acquire skills that will help them get jobs or become self employed.
Petronillah Aoko told youths and young mothers on Wednesday that school going children get bursaries from either the Constituency Development Fund or bank sponsorships while those who drop out of school have no one to come to their aid.
“Honourable Rachael Shebesh (Nairobi woman representative) has set aside money for those who want to join vocational training colleges to get skills. You are therefore advised to apply for this and fill bursary forms which are always at Vision Sister’s office in Ayany,’’ said Aoko who represented Shebesh.
Aoko spoke during a women’s empowerment forum at Vision Sister’s in Kibera.
