Seven pupils from St Francis Assis Primary School in Ngulunin were on Tuesday admitted at the Kangundo Level Four Hospital after the bus they were travelling in was involved in an accident.
The pupils were hospitalised after their bus was hit by a Toyota Canter ferrying milk Kwa Uku in Matungulu sub county.
The bus bus was picking pupils from their respective home to school at the time the accident occurred.
The school bus was hit by the canter while packed at the roadside.
Matungulu OCPD Joseph Chesire confirmed the incident to this writer on phone shortly after the accident.
"It is beneficial if drivers and all road users heed to the call and observe all traffic rules on the road since accident cases would be avoided," he said.
He called on drivers to be vigilant on the road to curb accidents.
The bus' driver, Joseph Mutiso, told this writer that the Toyota Canter hit the bus as it avoided a head-on collision with an on-coming car.
The two vehicles were towed to Kangundo police station as they await to go for inspection in Machakos.
