The late Edwin Odhiambo Opap, a student at St Paul’s University, Nakuru campus was on Wednesday laid to rest at Njoro cemetery.
Njoro residents turned up in in their hundreds to bid farewell to the young man who was brutally murdered and his body found dumped in a bush near RVIST farm.
A somber mood engulfed the mourners as the story on how Edwin met his death was narrated.
Speaking at the burial, Reverend Moses Yongo , Chaplain,St Paul’s University, Nakuru campus, requested the family to forgive the killers and let God judge them.
He also requested those concerned with security to beef up security in the area.
“It’s so painful to lose such a promising young man who was the first born in his family. I can understand the pain his mother is going through. But our prayers are with this family,” Rev Moses consoled the family.
Odhiambo had gone missing for a week before his body was found dumped in a bush near RVIST farm.
