The Uasin Gishu Government is determined to improve service delivery through training of its staff.

Speaking during a training exercise on Wednesday, the chairman Public Service Board Joseph Tanui said aim to equip county staff with knowledge and skills to serve the public well.

"As the County Public Service Board, we are determined to give the best services to our clients and training is a platform to improve service delivery," he said.

The chairman the training will be done to all county workers to ensure they perform to the required standards.

"The training exercise started one month ago and will go on until every worker undergoes it and we are fully committed to make it a success,” he added.

He said they won’t tolerate lazy workers who don’t deliver to the public as their job descriptions stipulate.

"I give stern warning to staff who are lazy in undertaking their duties that they will be shown the door and replaced with competent ones,” he added.

He, however, said residents have faith in the county workers and to keep that faith they should work to their best.
