Parents and other stakeholders in Kisii County have been advised to invest in education since it is the pillar of the economy in the county.
Addressing parents and other education stakeholders on Thursday at Elimu Academy during the Prize Giving Day, county education CS, John Omwoyo, who represented the governor, urged stakeholders and parents to invest more in educating.
According to Omwoyo, who read the governor's speech, the education sector needs to be maintained by joining hands of stakeholders and parents.
‘‘As the county, we are devoted to ensuring the education sector is improving hence I encourage stakeholders to maintain education in our schools so that we can always shine,” said Omwoyo.
He also urged the management of schools to do benchmarking as one way of improving the standards.
Omwoyo also urged stakeholders to give education the first priority since education is power and the pillar of the county.
