A Maseno University student was on Tuesday arraigned in a Kisumu court for allegedly being involved in the burning down of the administration block at the institution.

According to the prosecution, Ricky Thomas Nyakach who is a student at the institution jointly with others not in court burned down Maseno University administration block valued at Sh25 million on October 8, 2015.

The accused who appeared before Senior Resident Magistrate Phylis Shinyada denied the charges and was released on a cash bail of 50 thousand shillings.

The case will be mentioned on November 13, 2015.
