An employee of a Nakuru supermarket was on Thursday arraigned before in court facing charges of stealing as a servant.
Cosmas Onsongo, 39, a supervisor at the Nakuru Woolmart Supermarket is accused of stealing over Sh2 million on August 4, 2015.
According to the police file, the accused had been instructed by the manager, George Okello to bank the money.
However, on November 4, the chief accountant of the supermarket realised that the money was not banked and recommended that Onsongo be investigated.
Appearing before Chief Magistrate Doreen Mulekyo, Onsongo denied the charges and was released on a surety bond of Sh600,000 with an alternative cash bail of Sh300,000.
The case will be heard on January 25, 2016
