Nakuru County Assembly Speaker Susan Kihika is one woman who is politically loved and hated in equal measure within the county.
Described as the iron lady of Nakuru politics, Kihika has of late become a peoples darling especially among women and youth.
One character that undoutebly makes Kihika a darling of the masses is her charisma.
According to Egerton University don and political analyst Prof Charles Nywera, Kihika has and portrays a character that not so many Nakuru politicians have.
Speaking during an interview, Prof Nywera said Speaker Kihika is so charismatic, a character he says, makes her politically appealing to the people.
"Susan Kihika might have done little for the people of Nakuru politically, but the people love her because of her charismatic nature. She is strong and confident of herself,"said the varsity lecturer.
He added, "the people of Nakuru see her as someone who can protect them and fight for them politically and that is why she might just be elected for any position she vies for."
Prof Nywera said likened Kihika's nature to that of Cord leader Raila Odinga saying that is what Kenyans look for in a politician.
"Kihika is not like any other politician and I don't see any politician in Nakuru who can match her political strength, brevity and charisma,"he said.
