The mysterious deaths of sex workers in Nakuru has taken another twist after the body of one of them was on Saturday found in a tuk tuk near a residential estate in Bondeni estate.
This elicited mixed reactions from sex workers who thronged the scene, with a majority accusing some tuk tuk and taxi operators of having a hand in the deaths that have rocked their business in the recent past.
"We have lost friends and sisters under very strange circumstances with police doing very little to help us but today, we thank God because we at least know our enemies," noted Saumu Nyambura.
Nakuru OCPD Musa Kongoli who confirmed the incident said they received reports from the public and the suspect is in custody.
"The accused admitted to having strangled the deceased after she stole his laptop and an unknown amount of money," said the police boss, adding that the arrest will help them unravel the puzzle of sex workers death.
The deceased was pronounce dead upon arrival at hospital.
