Residents of Kangundo have been urged to take advantage of the current rains to harvest and store water.
The residents were told to ensure they store the rain water for use during the dry season expected in January.
Kangundo Agricultural Officer Benson Kariuki said the sub county experiences dry spells which are associated with limited water.
He was speaking to this reporter in Kangundo town on Saturday.
"People should purchase the necessary equipments to harvest water this rainy season to help them during the dry season," he said.
"People living in sloppy areas should also ensure they move away so that they are not swept away with the heavy rain water."
He said most parts of Ukambani are dry and that people should take advantage of the rains to harvest and store water for future use.
