A 34 years old teacher was jailed for 30 years by a Nakuru court for defiling his student.
Solomon Waweru was convicted of defiling the minor on diverse dates between September 23 and October 19, 2013 while offering tuition to the minor and others at Railways Estate in Nakuru.
Delivering the verdict, Resident Magistrate Juducaster Nthuku said the prosecution had proven their case beyond reasonable doubts adding that defilement cases in the county are on the rise.
The court heard that the teacher lured the 14-year-old girl with promises that she will not get pregnant because he was going to use protection.
A medical report presented before the court by Dr Justus Mwangi confirmed that the minor was raped and had bruises. The accused raped the minor on two separate occasions after other pupils had left the tuition centre and convinced the girl not to report to anyone.
