The sweet banana business has begun booming recently in Kibera markets at large especially this month.

The love for sweet bananas by Kibera residents has brought about the rise in the sales of ripe sweet bananas in markets at large as well as saving money for residents. 

''I love sweet bananas. I usually buy two at sh10 and take it as my lunch. This has saved me money. I am hoping that as the month comes to an end, there will be more money to spend,'' said Jared Ouru, a welder at Laini Saba market area. 

The residents feel that bananas are money savers as they can consume them for lunch, get full and continue with their day to day activities.
