There are things that are only peculiar with this dusty town of ours that we love. Things that only happen in Nakuru.

The one thing about Nakuru that baffles me is the rise and fall of clubs. Clubs here have a shelf life that mostly does not extend beyond 3 years. Whenever one rises the other must go down.

There is only one who sits on the throne of entertainment. Back in the 90's, for those of us who were born then, there were 3 clubs that used to rock. Those were Dimples, Oyster and Coco Savana. These were the main joints where party lovers would spend their hard earned money and dance to good music. Of all the three Coco Savana was the most visited it was soon overthrown by Taidy's, a club known to entertain many especially during the end year parties.

But that Taidy's craze was soon done when another club by the name of Summit, came with the famous DJ Tibz and Mc Sniper. Summit took the town by storm as it was always jam-packed. The entry queues were so long until Mamas pot came and stole the shine.

It popped up out of the blue really and everyone was talking about Mama's pot. Its reign was, however, short-lived.

Soon after came, Samba and Rafikiz, these two reigned together for some time until Pipers overthrew them. Which was in turn overthrown by 7D.

7D  is now reigning together with 64 and NaxVegas. Now we are watching who will fall because there is always one room for one King in Nakuru.
