Elected leaders from Nakuru County have been accused of plotting to grab leadership positions in the yet-to-be launched Jubilee Party.

Nakuru TNA chairman Samwel Githaiga said most of the leaders are in the county are eyeing party positions and accused them of selfishness.

Githaiga called on the leaders to concentrate on their duties and that none of them should run the party's affairs.

Speaking Thursday in his office, Githaiga said MPs and MCAs want to be party leaders so that they can be favoured during party nominations.

"Most of the elected leaders still are planning on how they will be elected party officials and this clearly potrays how selfish they are because they cannot be party leaders at the county level and at the same time execute their duties as elected leaders,"said Githaiga.

"They ought to let people who are not elected to lead and run the party at the county level,"he added.

The chairman said as serving TNA officials in the county they are ready and willing to popularise the Jubilee party immediately the merger is effected.

"We will move to every corner selling the jubilee party the same way we did with TNA and we are ready to do it," he said.
