Kisii Governor James Ongwae was among top leaders who graced the Agricultural Training Centre in the county capitol.
The agricultural workshop was organised by the county government in partnership with Egesa FM on Tuesday.
The crucial agricultural event attracted key players, such as leading multinationals Monsanto and Syngenta, and seed companies Kenya Seed Company and Panaar Seed Company.
Among the top leaders who took part in the training were Mr Ongwae, his deputy Joash Maangi and Vincent Sagwe.
“The main aim of the workshop was to create a platform where farmers from Kisii county get answers to the much needed conversations from the agricultural experts in agronomy, livestock, bee-keeping, fish keeping, tea, coffee, bananas, soil science among others so as to improve food security and agribusiness which is one of the ways as a county we are focused in improving the lives of our residents,” Maangi said.
