Kenyatta National Hospital Chief Executive Officer Lily Koross has urged hospital administrators to ensure they train their staff regularly to enhance service delivery.

Speaking during the 5th graduation ceremony of the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Training Centre at the graduation square on Friday where 257 students graduated, Ms Koross said through training, employees will acquire skills and knowledge that will help them improve service delivery and reduce wastage of resources.

She urged other hospitals in the county to emulate what MTRH has done by coming up with a training centre for medicine related courses.

"There will be more demand for training facilities in the near future due to the increasing number of students wanting to partake medical related courses," she said.

She urged Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital Training Center staff to place themselves in a position to offer competitive training programmes that will meet the demands of the competitive and dynamic market.

“There is demand in more training facilities and with MTRH coming up with its own training centre, it will help in decongesting universities and colleges offering medical courses," she said.
