Two suspects were on Monday morning arraigned before a Kisumu law court facing charges of robbery with violence.
One of the accused denied the charges while the other failed to take a plea saying he was not ready for the case in which they are accused of robbing property worth Sh100, 000.
Presiding magistrate Thomas Obutu directed that the two be remanded for the next seven days to enable the prosecution complete its investigations and enable the second suspect to prepare for the case.
The two are accused of gaining access into the house of Peter Omollo in Kisumu where they attacked him before robbing him Sh50, 000 , a television set and a laptop on the night of December 23, 2015.
The prosecution requested be given time to recover the items which will be used as evidence in the case
The suspects are expected in court on January 11, 2016.
