Two men Michael Mweu and Mutua Mativo have been sentenced to 10-year term each over defilement without fine at Kithimani law court. 

Appearing before magistrate Martha Opanga, Mweu allegedly raped Faith Mumbua who is mentally challenged on August 3, 2014 Vota area in Yatta sub-county. 

On the other side Mativo allegedly beat and raped Kamene Mutindi a 15-year old girl at Mukusu area in Masinga sub-county. 

The court, therefore, ordered the two to be jailed without fine to serve as an example to others. 

The two had requested to be released on bond fine but their request was rejected.

Opondo urged other men to responsible and avoid rape cases citing they commit such crimes under influence of drugs.
