Two people are receiving treatment at Kivaa health centre after the bus they were travelling in was involved in an accident along Thika-Garissa road in Masinga sub-county.
Confirming the incident Masinga OCPD Haman Jefwa said that the 51 seater bus comprised of university students who were travelling to Masinga dam for a retreat.
Jefwa said that the bus driver was trying to overtake where the bus skidded thus losing control and overturning, seriously injuring a man and a woman.
The officer disclosed that he was forced to turn back ten vehicles that were with the bus which comprised of local tourists heading to the dam.
"There were other ten vehicles heading to the same destination, but we were forced to turn them back," said Jefwa.
The injured were rushed for treatment to Kivaa health centre as the bus was towed to Masinga police station.
