President Uhuru has urged County Commissioner, Nelson Marwa, and his administration to curb the war against drug use by targeting the drug barons.

Speaking during a meeting with the youth from the Coast region, President Uhuru said the only way to win the war against drug abuse is by starting with the barons.

He further added that not enough has been done to arrest the barons hence the continued rise in drug use.

“Our war should be without drug barons. A lot of Kenyans are disappointed in that we have not been able to tackle these individuals,” added President Kenyatta.

He urged Marwa and the whole administration to take up the challenge and focus on the fight against the drug lords.

The President also said rehabilitation centers will be built in Mombasa and Lamu to help combat drug abuse in the region.
