United States Ambassador to Kenya Robert Godec has challenged the Jubilee administration led by President Uhuru Kenyatta to fight corruption which he said has skyrocketed.
Speaking on Wednesday after paying a courtesy call to Uasin Gishu County deputy governor Daniel Chemno, Godec said it's sad that corruption in Kenya is rampant leading to poor service delivery.
"Every sector in this country is mapped with corruption including the judiciary for heavens sake, in which Kenyans are supposed to get justice. It's time President Kenyatta gets serious and fight the menace before it goes beyond reach," he said.
He said any individual who is involved in corruption, no matter their political or tribal background, should be shown the door to serve as an example to people with such behaviour.
"We want to see heads rolling, people arrested and prosecuted on the same, since a lot of money that should have helped Kenyans is being siphoned by a few individuals," he said.
He also urged Kenyans to live peacefully with one another and shun politicians whose aim is to divide Kenyans, especially now that the country is approaching general elections.
