Kisii university students have called on their management to equip their libraries with more and new reading materials.
Speaking to this writer on Tuesday concerning what the students expect in 2016, they said that their library had a shortage of books especially for technical courses.
"I have always been visiting the library but find nothing new on the shelves related to my course," said Harun Mbayia, a software engineering student.
Some of the students said they were forced to look for information on assignments over the internet because of lack of books.
The university's top management visited the libraries in October this year, where the grievances were presented to them.
However, the students' expectations are that the libraries will acquire new books in 2016.
