Nyamira county governor John Nyagarama has admitted that his government could not satisfy everybody due to the many demands from the locals yet county governments are not receiving enough from the national government.
Speaking to reporters from his office on Thursday during his annual address to the residents through the media, the county boss said that his government was committed to improving the livelihoods of residents but admitted that it was not an easy task.
He urged residents to remain optimistic with the county leaders since many things could not be done at once due to the limited resources they were operating with.
“There is more to be done in terms of infrastructure, health and agricultural sectors but we divert a lot of resources to recurrent expenditures. This is partly why we are struggling as a county and people have to bear with us,” he added.
He said that his leadership had given priority to all regions without discrimination in terms of development and faulted leaders who aware but were allegedly accusing him of neglecting other regions.
“As a government, we have been keen to ensure equity on matters development. It’s important that our people get satisfied with the little they get since this county has 20 wards which need equal treatment. However, they have to understand that we cannot satisfy everyone given the limited resources we operate with,” he said.
