Nakuru deputy Governor Joseph Ruto has said if the 30 per cent tender rule on youth, women and disabled will not be adhered to during the next tender allocation, the whole process will be nullified.
Ruto believes that time had come for all departments to operate as per what the law demands.
Speaking during a recent residents' participation forum with Salgaa residents on how to come out with a lasting solution for the accident hotspot, Ruto revealed that the county was in the process of tendering and encouraged the marginalised groups to apply, promising to personally make a follow up.
"Just follow the right procedures, have the relevant documentation, certificates and receipts and rest assured of something," he said.
During the last financial year tender allocation, a section of the special groups decried being left out even after meeting all the basic requirements but in his own words, the deputy governor has assured them of his support by making follow ups.
