Nakuru town is growing. At one time, the UN classified it as the fastest growing town in Africa. It is growing physically and economically too.

Evident to this is the increasing number of cars. People can't buy cars if they are broke, can they?

The cars are as many and as diverse as the residents. I am pretty sure there isn't a brand you won't find here. If you don't find it, best believe it's on its way.

Occasionally, one or two cars will pass by and make heads turn. These are the cars you would otherwise see in flashy music videos. When Vegans do spot them, its common to see some take photos.

Take a walk on Kenyatta Avenue and you will see them parked outside Merica Hotel and NaxVegas Lounge. In Our parking lots, you will come across brands such as Toyota, Subaru, Hyundai, Ford, Nissan, Honda, Mitstubishi and many more.

However, some brands such as Toyota and Subaru are more common. Hardly a day will pass by without spotting a MarkX, Noah, Xtrail, Subaru Forester or Subaru Imprezza.

There are those you spot once in a while because they are practically countable. These are V8,Range Rovers, Jeeps and Audis. Of late, Prados too have become a common site.

The drivers of these cars will shock you. A majority of them qualify as vijanas, which proofs that Nakuru youths know how to make money. Women have not been left behind as you will spot them behind the steering wheels too.

For those of us in Rav 2's and footstubishis, worry not we are still the majority!
