A middle-aged woman was on Tuesday arraigned in a court in Kithimani to answer to charges of allegedly stabbing her husband to death.
The accused, Pauline Kioko from Makongo Village in Matungulu Sub-County, was accused of stabbing her husband, Albanus Muema, on December 31, 2015.
Speaking during the hearing, the presiding Magistrate Gilbert Sikwe, said the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), was still carrying out its investigations.
"The police department has requested for more time to carry out its investigations. I therefore grant them seven days to finalise investigations into the case,” said Sikwe.
Sikwe further warned residents against taking the law into their own hands and instead urged them to report cases to the authority.
The case will be mentioned on January 11, 2016.
